Ways for a more beautiful skin ever

Drink a glass of water

“By the time you get up, you’ve gone several hours without water and are mildly dehydrated –and that can make you feel tired,” says Nicole Kuhl.

Drinking water in an empty stomach right after you wake you kick starts your metabolism for the day.

Don’t skip breakfast

Yes, we already heard it before, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

“After sleeping all night, our metabolism and blood sugar are at their lowest; we need a healthy breakfast to re-energize us,” says Rebecca Scritchfield, R.D., a Washington D.C. based nutrition and exercise expert specializing in weight management. Think of a yogurt, an apple, and a whole grain to pack on your tummy in the morning.

Forbes said that rushing to the door with only a cup of coffee and an empty stomach won’t really kick start your day. Spend at least 30 minutes taking breakfast while mentally jotting down the things you need to accomplish for the day. It will also give time to talk with your family or friends.

Exercise

According to Coach Mark, women should be physically active as much possible. It does not to be an organized activity but an activity that will require physical activity will do. He suggests push-ups, split squats (leg dominant exercsie), and side planks for starters.  And when you do the exercising, turn up that upbeat playlist on Spotify to amp up your mood. Joining Zumba classes in the morning is also one way to make yourself energetic and enthusiastic throughout the day. I once read in a website, while lerning about ranking hostingów, that really exercise is a nice way to be healthy.

Get a daily dose of nature

Huffington Post said that getting up to surround yourself to nature is one way to let go of that groggy feeling in the morning.

A 10-15 minute walk to the park or along your neighborhood with your dog will help you prep up for the day.

Every morning promises a new beginning, not only for people who work to beat deadlines, but to people who chase their dreams and wants to be ahead of their game by starting early.  So say hi to your happy hormones and get ready for a day of energy and positivity! Of all, best to sleep early, do not spend more time in front of the comupter when you’re about to sleep.  Aside from this, we also deal with allergies. Soon to be mother and television personality Monet has been experiencing allergies for years now. But this bubbly and go-getter person, nothing can stop her from doing the things she loves even when allergies get in the way. “I’m always around different things that are dusty and feathery,” she said, adding that she started having allergies when she was still a young girl in Australia.  As she started her career and eventually got into sports and travelling with then boyfriend she can’t escape being exposed to factors that can trigger her allergy.

Allergies exist in different forms. Its symptoms vary from sneezing uncontrollably, or experience a runny nose paired with watery eyes. Allergy attacks might vary and it impairs the senses and hinders one from living your life to the fullest.  Allergy symptoms might be common among many people that it leads to a lot of misconceptions. Some of these myths include ignoring the allergy attacks, upon the belief that it will eventually go away. Sometimes, people go as far as exposing themselves to allergens in the hope that they will become immune to it.

There are also those who think that overtime, they will eventually outgrow their allergy and be “healed” completely.

“At home, my husband owns a pet cat that I’m super allergic to!” she said. “I love pets but I just can’t be around them for a long time, or else I’ll end up sneezing my way through the day. When this happens, I only trust the expert and take Claritin, the world’s number one allergy medicine.”

A better and more beautiful world with camera filters

I don’t understand the angst that many photographers direct toward the smartphone, photo filter users. I don’t have any clue– I would much rather live in a world with self search of inspiring photography coming from every direction, including under me, raising the bar so that I can continue to succeed at a high level with my photography rather than Coast. That’s what I think when I see great amateur photography. But, I realize that I’m probably in the middle road in that sense, As in that there is more people on the extreme side of every single one of me, and I’m kind of right in the center of the argument. Anyway, I’ve even started using some of these photo filter apps and I have to say that there are some really incredible ones. I am a bit of a purist, and I love using my DSLR, and stuff like that. None-the-less, I love using new technology and these apps all the time also. I love that I don’t have to Lug my big camera and all of my gear around with me everywhere that I go, and that I can just pull out my smartphone, or mobile device, snap a photo, take it into a photo filter app, manage all of the different properties of the image, and totally customize it in just a couple minutes. These apps also give you extra incentive, because, if they like your photos, they’ll put you into a stream in which people who are looking for stock photography may even purchase your photo. Sure, the app takes half of the profits, but usually, we don’t even make anything for our attempt, so this is really cool. It’s like Instagram with a possibility of making money. That seems pretty intense, doesn’t it? Makes you wonder how Instagram survives, when its competitors are offering to help you sell your photographs for money.

Storing big things

I never knew self storage spaces can also accommodate big things like boats, electronic appliances, and even cars! My friend stored his car because he will be away for two weeks and he needs to keep it in good condition. His parkway is not enough. I mean he do not trust that it will be safe and that he can still see his car. Our lawyer friend, who is a happy client of this cheap self storage company, recommended it. I also love how the self storage costs is not that heavy on the pocket just like other services. I am now planning to avail of my own booking for the storage when me and my family will go out of the country in the next months.

Exploring Singapore’s hidden pearl

If you are the type of person who longs for serenity and solitude (like me), then a trip to the Southern Islands can satisfy that piece of heaven you are seeking.

Beyond what most people already know, Singapore has few undiscovered islands that offer a lighter part of life aside from its famous tourist destinations, high rise buildings and massive shopping malls.

Collectively known as Singapore’s Southern Islands, the 50-year old country has eight islets namely Sentosa, St. John’s Island, Lazarus Island, Kusu Island, Pulau Seringat, Pulau Tekukor and the two Sisters’ Islands.

I took the MRT to Marina South Pier and had a ferry ride thru Singapore Island Cruise and Services to visit three of the Fine City’s virgin islands, St. John’s Island, Lazarus Island and Kusu Island.

I and my friend, who is a tech geek (you know, the one who always think about new technology advancement, nas server test, product reviews of newly released gadgets and all) joined me in my trip to the Southern Islands. We boarded the Singapore Island Cruise for only 18 SGD.

There is no need to bring any VISA or enter an immigration when visiting the Southern Islands. Just your packed lunch and swimming attire.

Refreshing breeze, translucent turquoise water and awesome city view as the ferry departed from the pier made the 20-minute ride to St. John’s Island very unwinding and worthwhile.

Upon arriving St. John’s Island, we were welcomed by a long line of tourists waiting for their time to board and visit their next destination – the Kusu Island.

Despite overwhelmed by excitement to experience the sun and seawater, I was first waylaid by the interesting history of St. John’s Island.

Before the country opened the island for nature lovers, beach-goers and day-trippers, St. John’s Island was first known as the world’s largest quarantine center for cholera-stricken immigrants traveling from Mecca to Singapore in the late 19th century. It even became a penal settlement for political detainees and ringleaders of secret societies, then a rehabilitation of opium addicts.

Now, tourists get to enjoy the tranquil landscapes fit for picnics and photo shoots as well as frolicked along the powdery sands and saltwater in this lost paradise.

Enjoy St. John’s Island beach while having a pleasant view of the Merlion city.

Picnic tables, barbecue grills and cottages were everywhere for a place to stay and relax.

Anglers hooking up for a fresh catch as well as private cruise ships, yachts and speed boats were some of the sight to see along the causeway that linked St. John’s Island to Lazarus Island. Filled by the lush greenery, a short walk from Lazarus beach towards north led me to Pulau Seringat.

Causeway towards Lazarus Island

Currently, the islands are being developed to become an irresistible tourist spot by enhancing natural foliage and promote a resort-like experience. Due to its still and unspoiled seawater, travelers visit the place for a quick escape from the city life.

I had to return to the main jetty before four in the afternoon to catch my next ride to Kusu Island which is famous for its Chinese Temple and Malay Shrine.

I was glad to bring with me some mandarin orange and a bottled water as there were no food stalls or even souvenir shops available in the area. The cute tortoises, still waters and soft fine sands greatly killed my lazy afternoon.

Kusu Island means Tortoise Island in Mandarin. Tortoises are known to live long age, so there is a belief that touching them would bring longevity.

There is an old legend that a tortoise long before turned itself into an island to save two shipwrecked sailors.

The appeal of the islands may look undeveloped compared to the popular Sentosa Island but it was a pleasant experience to have that peaceful moment along the coastline and get lost on the few deserted spots left in Singapore.

Travelers enjoy the Merlion City for the variety of entertainment and world-class service it offers. But other than the usual, the Southern Islands breathed space on my clouded head and granted me that much wanted solitude while people-watching and embracing that sun-kissed skin.

Tips on Beating the Hollywood Reader

Before I shifted into looking for hospitality jobs london,  I’ve worked within a top-level company as a reader for a couple years. Readers are the gateway that a script must pass through to get to the higher-ups. To do this, readers must write what is known as coverage and then stamp the script as either consider, pass and sometimes in-between.

How many scripts do I pass? More than I want to. The reason? Simple. Readers are youth oriented. The one thing you have to understand is that most readers nowadays at companies are the interns. This means the age of readers vary between teenager and early twenties. If you look at the films doing well within these age-brackets, reports show (or if you ask us) that originality is in.

Oftentimes scripts are sent in that are unoriginal. The twists, themes, everything has been done before and better. The thinking here might be “Hollywood likes to play it safe,” while that is true – there always has to be something new, unique and original enough about it. It’s rare that I pass a script that “plays by the books” and when I do it’s because there is at least some aspect that is original enough that it bypasses the weaker points. The flip-point to this though is the “too original” script. These scripts are way too out there that the reader has to question if they were smoking pot. This may be seen as a put down to some, but movies about Nazi Zombies and Karate Robots? Ain’t gonna fly. Not even Nazi Zombies Vs. Karate Robots. Or at least not with every company, be careful whom you send these flicks out to.

The other thing that sticks out is a bumpy start. In the first twenty minutes establish your characters, the rules, and the story. The reader shouldn’t be at page fifty still wondering when the movie’s going to start. Make it as tight as possible. I’ve seen professional scripts that are only 89 pages long. As a reader, believe me, we dig those. The shorter, the better and with this in mind you can always make it tighter.

Sometimes a writer manages to capture interest off the bat then loses it. Only thing I can contribute to this is the belief that the job’s said and done. Often times what I find is the beginning is fresh and original then it falls apart with a cliche ending that follows classic Hollywood staples to a T. Make sure your ending is just as original as what came before it.

The story should be grounded in something. There should be some sense of reality about it. All movies, even the most absurd, have some connection to everyday life. Piranha 3D for example connected it back to the prehistoric age. It was throwaway information, but it still grounded it and that film wasn’t meant to be serious. If you want to be taken seriously, take your script seriously. Make sure there’s some gravitas to it.

Plot is essential. Don’t string a lot of events into a movie hoping the order will reveal a story. Make sure that everything happens for an exact reason and logic. I can’t count the number of times where a script is filled with no real connective tissue between the events and seems like skits combined. It should be easy to write in a single page, but not overly so.

I often find characters that prove to be bi-polar. One second the characters acts like a child, the next they’re a philosopher. If you’re going to have a jump in logic, make it reasonable that such a jump can be made from what came prior to it. If not, you’ve just lost the reader.

Have dialogue be exact to how people would talk. There are times when some characters exist only for exposition and this comes through in the way that they carry themselves. Oftentimes, it feels like reading a textbook rather than someone speaking. Also be wary of voiceovers. Every character also has to have a distinct voice, imagine an actor in a role and tailor it towards them – because that’s what better helps a reader imagine it. The writer’s job is to make it easily “visible” as a film.

Marketability. I hate talking about this, but I have to. John Hughes once stated, and I highly think everyone should do this, that before he wrote a film he had to first see the trailer and the poster in his mind. He had to know exactly what he was writing, who he was writing it to and why it exists. Why is this important? You can’t sell us a script if you don’t know what you’re selling. A reader has to sum a script up in very little words, if the writer makes this difficult – we hate that script. Also it’s something that has to catch on.

This doesn’t mean ‘selling out.’ I’ve seen some scripts with 80-year-old action heroes built around wild set pieces, not everyone wants to see grandpa diving off towers. Make it suitable for that audience, decide whether you want the next Tom Cruise film or Clint Eastwood flick. Or middle grounds, Bruce Willis.

Formatting is also important. I’ve read scripts before that came off as a video game. One such story detailed a demon war going on inside hell. It was overly complicated to follow for a script that basically only revolved around demons fighting each other. Adding insult to injury, make sure supernatural entities sound normal rather than archetypes. Basically, write them the same as you would anyone else – just with a few extra quirks.

The average day in the life for a reader is to arrive to work, or work from home, and receive a script to three scripts sometimes more per day. I hate to say it, readers have prejudice against the writer from page ten or earlier. Because if it’s a bad script, they’re going to see all the flaws and tear it apart sometimes making it the office joke. If it’s a good script, however, even mediocre – it’ll at least be considered. Therefore make sure it starts off with a bang to keep the reader wanting more. Also make sure it’s a script that either can’t be put down or can be picked back up easily because sometimes a reader could be asked to make a coffee run depending on what their full position entails.

So what does this mean for you? Make your film unique, original and clever. Don’t make it too original that it’s hard to follow. Make sure the characters are well developed and sound normal rather than dictators of exposition. Make sure it’s not overly complicated, side-note: you’ll know this if you don’t need to fill the script with exposition. Make sure it’s spelled correctly – one can’t believe the number of typos I see. Make it marketable!

Page count? Within reasonability it doesn’t matter as long as it doesn’t go over 120 on spec from first time writers (we actually check IMDB, sometimes it either makes or breaks the writer), as said I’ve seen 89 paged professional scripts on spec. Formatting? I’ve also seen one that was in the first-person, not important essentially.

Notes that I’ve received from executives: every line of dialogue the characters say should reveal something about their character, mood, plot, something. Every scene should have a beginning, middle and end; there should also usually be some sense of conflict no matter how short the scene. Sometimes it’s only a couple words difference that makes a huge difference. “Based on a true story,” no one cares how much of it is true – only 10% or less could be true and the execs could care less as long as it’s entertaining. Don’t worry about film school, forget all the rules you learned – in the end, that doesn’t apply. Those are things I’ve learned from execs during meetings.

I know that this article may come as a hard wake up call to some. As a reader, I want to read scripts that interest me and that I can consider. I hate reading a script and having to ‘pass’ it, if the writing intrigues me but I don’t see potential in the story at the very least I try to build that writer up in the coverage. I want to see people succeed. This is just my way of trying to show others what readers look for within the industry and how to pass through that “gate” to reach the executives. Keep your heads up, play the game, beat it – win.

Truth is, Hollywood Readers are the same as anyone. They could be your neighbor. So, before you send it in – send it to them to read, even those unaffiliated with the film industry because essentially in the end it’s their thoughts that really count when all is said and done on the big screen. They’re your audience.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

I’m an intern/reader at one of the top companies and a recent graduate. I’ve already been in writer-meetings with the executives. The executives are currently considering one of the screenplays I’ve submitted. I also consider myself to be one of the ‘lighter’ readers because it doesn’t take much to entertain me – as Robert Downey Jr. once said, it just has to have something good about it that sticks out.

A Weekend With Winona

Hi love! It has been a while since I posted a review in this blog. You see, I have been away from a couple of months and I was traveling and having client meetings in between that is why I had a hard time in focusing on writing content on my blog. But now that I am back in town for a year, yes, I will stay here for that long, I know I now have an ample time to write something. While I was traveling, I find out about this best wood watch I bought online. And yes, I know that I was skeptical before of buying things online but since I am literally a digital nomad, I need to make use of this innovation. And so I bought this wood watch and I know this is worth the penny. I love how it goes well with almost all of my outfits—whether its for a corporate event, going to the movies for a date night, having coffee with friends, or having client meetings. I love how it looks very versatile and does not worn off easily, unlike my other watches. It is also rare to find that is why I love having it on my dailu wardrobe. My friends even asked me where did I bought this and of course, I am no selfish in this kind of discovery. I found the best wooden watches  in a very trusted website and I am sure this will not let me down. I actually referred a few friens to buy watch from this site and I know they will not regret it.

A cosmetic industry revolution

You can offer the best Vitamin c serum for face in the world for about $20. Which is a very affordable option. Which is so incredible, can you believe that, $20 rather than that it’s pretty amazing and I just think that the fact that they will give that 90-day guarantee shows you that they are very pleased, and again the fact that I’m writing about this vitamin C serum shows that are probably works, and the fact that everyone else I’ve recommended it to has been just as excited about it as me if not more. I’m also very ethical person. I have high morals and I’m very selective about what products I choose to support by giving my money to, and I can honestly say that this is a cruelty-free product. I did the research, there’s no animal testing whatsoever, and that is something that is very common when it comes to anything in the Cosmetic industry. Any type of makeup or ointment for the face, moisturizers and things like that, are often tested on animals and I just can’t abide that, and I never buy a product if it supports that type of practice, and this one I can happily report absolutely does not, there’s literally no animal testing whatsoever, and every ingredient is completely organic and natural and it has been FDA-approved. I would not at all. I would not feel confident, I wouldn’t feel good when I went outside and went to the mall or to a fancy restaurant, or anything like that. I feel less confident in the workplace, and even on my Transit on the way to work. I would not have this youthful exuberance that has been reignited in me since I began to look a way that makes me feel great and proud of myself again. No. There is not necessarily a way to actually reverse the symptoms of Aging, it doesn’t seem like a very attainable goal. However, it does seem like a smart thing to want to want to feel young and feel good about yourself.

I Moved Out of My Parents Home

I am now living alone with my cat. Six days ago I moved out of my parents home to be independent. I packed my bags and got the approval of my mother and father. I am now living a city away from them. The first days are a little uneasy. I had to fix my bed on my own, clean the kitchen, buy my own grocery, cook my own food and eat alone.

My cat is my only friend right here in this little dorm. Why did I move out? I want to explore things on my own and prove that I can face challenges on my own without the help of my parents.  I am also thinking of planning to establish my own small business website as soon as I got things under control. I want to learn life and not be spoon fed because I know someday, I will eventually learn to be on my own. I will also undergo a training on business and real estate with none other than Dave Jenkins, whom is open for training and mentorship.

No more curfews. No more rules. No more voices yelling me about the things I did not do at home.

However sometimes I miss home. But I know I will get used to this life I chose.

Thankyou, Lino for my new Electric Scooter!

Heyya! I have a new electric scooter which I totally adore! I got it from Unu Motors and it was given by my boyfriend Lino. He knows my everyday struggle and I really thank him for his effort and sweetness. We had a road trip last weekend and here’s what I experienced with my first ride:

My new electric scooter, or what they call in The Netherlands as ‘elektrische scooter, is created for the purpose of helping in promoting environment care. I totally agree with this cause and I think I lot of people should also support these kinds of businesses. It is also created so we clients can have more an alternative way of transportation that is not only easy on the pocket but is also very user friendly.

Aside from these, I love how they offer a lot of options. Aside from the fact that one can purchase online, you can also choose from an array of product colors and accessories to suit your style. I also love how they answered some of my queries via email which is unusual for many companies I deal with before. That’s a thumps up for me!

Keep it up UNU motors and thankyou Lino for giving me this gift! I totally love it!
